Outlook With Students.
I have only just started using Outlook as a management tool to help with workflow with students. Two features I have recently implemented include delaying emails and sending mail merge emails to students in conjunction with MS Word and Excel.

Relevance & use of Outlook with students.
The relevance of using Outlook with students in delaying email delivery and using mail merge to send personalised emails include the following:
Delaying an email.
1. Delaying the sending of an email until the beginning of the class or just before means students don't need to trawl through emails trying to find the information and attachments sent to them.
2. Using the delay feature means you do not have to send an email to them manually during the lesson saving the teachers time during the lesson which can be used on classroom management and interaction with the students in the class.
3. Students will not be distracted from a task by them looking at something previously emailed to them as some students tend to do if they know the teacher has sent an email previously.
Mail Merge Message.
1. Allows the sending of a common message to many recipients with personalised information presented to individuals such as their name, passwords etc.
2. Increases efficiency as typing individual emails separately to many people is time consuming compared to mail merging.
3. Allows for confidential information to be emailed to a group by merging individuals confidential information with their own email address so only they get their own confidential information.
In summary, using Outlook with students in these ways improves efficiency significantly.
